Both southbound lanes on State Highway 1, Pokeno are expected to remain closed for at least two hours following an earlier crash.
The single vehicle crash, involving a tractor and trailer, was reported to Police at about 2.30pm.
One person was transported to hospital in a moderate condition.
Motorists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel or seek an alternative route.
Diversions are in place at Mill Road.
